Common AC problems and likely causes

These are common situations and their usual causes; the actual problem can only be confirmed on site.

Not cooling

Wrong mode or temperature setting, a clogged filter, poor outdoor unit ventilation, low or leaking refrigerant, faulty electrical parts, or an AC too small for the room.More on AC not cooling中文

Indoor unit dripping

A blocked drain pipe, not enough slope, a dirty filter causing frost, poor pipe insulation, or an indoor unit that isn't level.More on AC dripping中文

Noise or vibration

Loose parts or panels, something stuck in the fan, or an outdoor unit that isn't fixed firmly.

Bad or musty smell

Dirt and mould built up on the filter, heat exchanger or drain pan.AC maintenance tips中文

Won't turn on, trips the breaker

A problem with the power supply, remote or electrical parts. If you smell burning or the breaker trips, turn it off and unplug it.

Before booking, check the remote's mode and temperature, clean the filter and make sure nothing is blocking the outdoor unit. If there's a burning smell, the breaker trips or there's a loud noise, stop using it.
